You’ve taken the leap and hired a Dubsado Certified Specialist to streamline your business processes – congrats! But before we start working together, there are a few things you need to do to make sure you’re fully prepared to take your biz to the next level. So grab a cup of coffee (or tea, or whatever floats your boat), and let’s dive in!

1. MAP OUT YOUR CLIENT JOURNEY

First things first, you need to have a clear understanding of your current client journey. How do clients get in touch with you? What info do you need from them upfront? What happens after they reach out? Do they need to schedule a call with you? Do you send them additional info? Can they book your service right away? If you’ve already got a process, note what’s missing or what could be improved to make it the ultimate client experience. Think about what notes would be helpful for you, what items tend to slip through the cracks, and what you always want to send but forget to. – It’s my job to audit your process, make suggestions based on the capabilities of Dubsado, and make your ideal journey into reality, but I cannot define your process for you. Only you can determine your business needs.

2. GATHER YOUR ASSETS

Next up, you need to gather all your biz assets. This includes your package names, what’s included in each package, pricing, payment options, and any forms you use (think lead forms, questionnaires, proposals, etc.). If you already have a contract, now’s a great time to revisit it and ensure it’s exactly how you need it. And if you don’t have a contract, it’s time to draft one (keep in mind, as a Dubsado Specialist, I can’t give legal advice for a contract). Don’t forget to also gather your brand identity materials – logo, brand colors, mission statement, tagline, and high-quality/professional brand photos and portfolio images. If you’re missing any of these items, now’s the time to invest in getting them together to create a cohesive brand within your Dubsado system. – I’ll create beautiful, custom forms within your system, but I’ll need the content for those forms ready to go!

3. BE OPEN TO CHANGE

It’s my goal to get your process set up just as you’ve laid it out. But, some processes that you have in mind may need to be altered to fit into the capabilities of Dubsado. So, you have to be open to change. As a Dub pro, I’ll be able to guide you through the process and offer suggestions. Once your system is set up, you may also find that your process evolves over time, and changes may be needed. Dubsado is not a set-it-and-forget-it platform. Just like a car getting a tune-up or you needing a check-up at the doctor, your system will need a tune-up every now and then. – I’ll provide you with the roadmap, but you have to be willing to be flexible to improve your client experience.

4. MAKE TIME TO LEARN

It’s important to block off time in your calendar to learn the Dubsado platform. Even if you’ve gathered all the necessary materials and assets, there may still be some homework along the way. Learning the platform is key to success, and Dubsado offers tons of free educational resources, webinars, and videos to help users get up to speed. And if you need extra help, their support team is just a chat away. So make sure you’re dedicating the time to learn the system and gain comfort using it to make the most of our work together. – I’ll provide you with custom education videos created just for you, in addition to the included two weeks of continued support, I’ll do everything I can to set you up for success, but the ball is ultimately in your court.

With these three steps, you’ll be well on your way to taking your biz to the next level with Dubsado.
